On numerous occasions, friends and acquaintances have asked me how I got started doing this type of work. As for many other people, the journey to where one currently is has its beginnings in seemingly “normal” experiences. The significance of these experiences is often not recognized until much later. In the mid 1980s, my friend and first mentor, Carolyn, exposed me to the concept that energies were all around us that we may not ordinarily notice. She introduced me to the exquisite phenomenon that I could learn precisely how to sense these energies that flowed and lingered within our physical realm. It was the initial awareness of these energies that lead me to hone my natural ability to move them effectively.
My experience with helping individuals to move forward from the physical realm began in the spring of 1994. On a seemingly ordinary scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway with my friend and mentor, Peggy, I had a profound experience. The extreme depth that this exquisite experience provided me would not be realized until much later. The mountains and wildflowers were beautiful and the traffic was sparse. An ambulance passed us without the drama of lights and sirens. Both of us sensed that the patient riding within was close to passing on. Peggy drew silent for a moment. She told me that the elderly woman in the ambulance was unable to leave and crossover because she was too scared to let go. Peggy said, “She won’t listen to me, you try.” My initial reaction was incredulous. I’d never aspired to do anything of the sort. I drew a deep breath and decided to trust that I would be guided in what to do and say to help this woman whom I had never met. I energetically connected to her and introduced myself. She shared with me why she was scared and I intuitively knew what to say and do for her. She knew that I came from a place of love and I could feel that she trusted me. My experience of helping her to move left me with a deep feeling of peace and calm. Peggy commented that she had observed the whole interaction and that, “I had done well.” I don’t know for certain that Peggy couldn’t have helped her. I do know that her allowing me to have this experience opened me to a gift that I hadn’t realized I had.
Since those beginnings I have cleared untoward energies from many spaces and helped several beings move to a more appropriate place. Sometimes I do my work without any assistance, and sometimes other loving beings will come to assist me with particular tasks. I learned to do this work without gadgets or fanfare. My method is most comfortable for me and effective for all vested parties. I work with the movement of energy done with love and a whisper from the heart.
